Characteristics:

The addition of chrome and nickel is what gives steel the qualities required for use in kitchens and food-preparation areas, and sanitary facilities such as washrooms and toilets. Chrome-nickel steel is highly resistant to acids, does not rust and is available with matt-brushed, polished or structured surfaces.

Tabletops and work surfaces made of chrome-nickel steel are not only made to withstand the action of water and acids - they are also exceptionally hard, tough and highly resistant to the effects of extreme heat and cold. The heat expansion coefficient of chrome-nickel steel, within an approximate temperature range of 20°C to 100°C, is around 60% higher than that of chromium steel.

These characteristics are also ideal for applications where hygiene is important. The smooth, absolutely pore-free surface allows dirt and grease to be washed off with great ease. Scratches and nicks in the metal soon lose their hard-edged contours and blend back into the rest of the surface.

The advantages at a glance:

Rust-free: Absolutely 100%

Acid-resistant: Withstands the action of all commonly in households used acids

Hygienic: Viruses and bacteria never get to gain a foothold

Easy to care for: Cleaning is fast and simple - even with large amounts of accumulated dirt

Neutral colour-tone: The classic simplicity of a material suitable for use in virtually any combination

Vandal-resistant: Stands up well to physical damage

Easy to repair: If damage ever does occur

Heat- and flame-resistant: Cigarettes and other hot objects do not leave a mark

100% recyclable: Stainless steel remains stainless steel forever

Some general points:

  • We use only rust-free materials in our products
  • Rust can only occur due to the action of outside influences
  • If in doubt, discuss precise needs with the customer
  • When testing stainless steel-types 1.4301 and 1.4435, ensure that no metal frame is placed under the test item to provide support, as this can result in the test item becoming magnetised.
